CHaMP generates several metrics that describe the overall features of a site, including geomorphic characterstics of gradient and sinousity.
Dimensional aspects of sites are summarized using a variet of width, depth, and width-to-depth ration metrics. Within CHaMP, these metrics capture only the main channel as side channel dimensions are captured separately.
Side channel metrics describe the dimensions of side channels, which are channels separated from the main channels by a qualifying island.
